Dreamy Bedrooms For Inspiration

For the past 14 years I have spent my time drafting house plans...and fine tuning the plans I have for my dream house one day.  So it's only natural that I pick up every magazine and visit multiple websites that feature gorgeous houses. The beauty that I find draws me in and causes my day dreams to take flight.

 

Pictures call out to me...begging me to make changes to my own space.  And I want to...I just need the money to allow me to make the changes I dream of. (And to really complete it all I need to get out of this apartment and into a house.)

 

This weekend I got sucked into the world of bedrooms. It's a beautiful world with so many possibilities. Luxury and elegance is what tends to catch my attention. I love creams, browns, deep blues and burgundy and very rich, soothing hues.

 

Am I the only one that dreams of changing her bedroom into a showstopper?  I can't be.  There is too many options out there for me to decide though...I'm eclectic and blame it all on my artistic heritage. Both sides of my family are piled sky-high with artists and musicians.

Here are some of the gorgeous bedrooms that I would LOVE to have in place of the little one in my apartment.  Talk about some great inspirational design. Here's to dreaming!

For my youngest daughter this would be a perfect room.  She loves polka-dots and is extremely whimsical and creative.

 

 

 

 

 

Poolside usually equates to something that is highly desired...but this would not be a good layout for me.  I'd end up falling in for an unexpected dip in the middle of the night.

 

 

Valentine's Day Décor Ideas

Okay, alright I must admit that I am getting ready to go into full-blown Valentine's Day mode! I'm much more of a sleek & elegant Valentine's décor lover, but to each their own.  This day is set apart for those who simply love LOVE and how it is interpreted is completely up to the individual or couple.

BUT, if you are one of those who may want to change things up or just need a little inspiration, this post is for you!  In preparation for the month of love, I'm doing my homework by gathering some great decorating ideas.

Really, is there any time of the year that causes the masses to become consumed with romance, chocolates, red & pink hearts galore?  No, no I would have to say that there is not.

Crafty Christmas

As a child I looked forward to Christmas time SO much.  The excitement was not just because of Santa & presents...it meant a barrage of crafts at home and school. Crafts...they can just suck me in and provide entertainment for hours.  There's just something about feeding the imagination and artistic drive that lies in a child.  And then it's magnified if that child is like I was and wants everything to be "perfect". 

My little Rose LOVES doing crafts, or anything artistic for that matter.  She's the one that will introduce herself as "the artist" when people ask her what she likes to do. I just laugh and inside I'm clapping, jumping up & down and dancing about with glee. (yes, I dance with glee)

So, I decided to go on a hunt this morning for some of the best crafts for kids this Christmas season.  Look at all the great ones I've found!  My girls are going to be going nuts trying to decide which they want to tackle first.

Christmas Decor Inspiration

I'm feeling very inspired today...and let's just say that I really need that inspiration since I have done nothing more than hang some bells on my entry doorknob in regards to decorating for Christmas.  My poor girls have been wondering when Mommy is going to set-up their advent calendar. Yes, I am confessing right now, I am not doing very good and have missed the mark so far this Christmas.

Today is the day that I finally really get into the Christmas spirit and get my house in order. I have to...especially with a Christmas Eve baby in our home.  This is her month that she loves sharing with Jesus. How precious is that?!
